Dahlia is now 24 days old and we have now been parents for 24 days. I think we are getting better. Mostly that has to do with keeping Dahlia's crying to a minimum. We've gotten pretty good at it, if I do say so myself. Matt is mastering the art of ssshhing and bouncing that achieves the perfect "jello head." He has made it into a challenge for himself each time he does it and even when he gets frustrated because it can sometimes take a long time to get her to fall asleep, he perseveres and feels triumphant when he succeeds. I think pretty soon he's going to be ready to give lessons to new papas.
I have added another slideshow of our latest camera contents. It's all Dahlia. She's the best! One pic shows Dahlia's traumatic first bathing experience in her tub. It began with her peeing all over me before being put into the tub, (which was awesome), and proceeded with shrieking cries through all the sponging and scrub a dub dubbing and ended with a beautiful, squeeky clean baby. She likes being clean but hated the bath. We enjoyed the bath a lot. Mostly because she's so cute naked!
