Dahlia is now 17 days old, getting chubbier daily. We took her to get weighed yesterday but she was so cozy sleeping in her car seat we decided we couldn't disturb her just to lay her on a scale. But we are guessing she's around 8 pounds. She's a good little eater.
We've been taking Dahlia on little outings everyday. The only exercise I'm allowed to do for another month is walk so we make a point of walking around somewhere everyday--to Peet's, around downtown, along the trail, and Target have been some of our outings. We also are getting Dahlia used to the car and on Sunday we trekked to San Francisco for Avi's bris. She was a superstar traveler and did great amongst the 20+ guests at Avi's home. Basically that means she slept almost the entire time but that's her job right now.
Dahlia has enjoyed the company of all her visitors, too. Besides Grandma and Grandpa Lasky, she's had recent visits from Sandy and Cecile, Carol, Colleen, Paige and her tio and tia, Kevin and Kelly. Abuelita Sonia has been sick with a cold and I'm sure Dahlia is looking forward to seeing and being held by her and her Abuelito again soon.
