Halloween, 2012

Mermaid costume designed by Dahlia and Mama, sewn by Tita. Dahlia was very specific about how this costume would look so while we had a pattern, we could only use some of it and the rest had to be made up by our expert seamstress, Tita in order to meet Dahlia's specifications. She was happy with it, as you can see, and despite having a chest full of other possible costumes, she wore this one to every Halloween event she attended.

Dragon costume recycled from Dahlia's first Halloween. It was too cute not get to be worn again.

Another fun Halloween in the books. This was our first time truly trick-or-treating in our own neighborhood and it was great. So many childhood memories to be had as we watched Dahlia running up and down driveways (this costume was designed specifically so her running would not be impeded) and encountering tons of cute kids out on the street. Milo stuck to his wagon and thought it was super fun playing with shiny, crinkly candy in wrappers.

  1. I love that D helped design her costume with you and Tita followed thru. I am curious to know some of her design specifications!

  2. It needed to have a "poof" at the bottom, not a tail that hung down. It needed to have a flower at the top center. It needed gold trimmings. It also needed a matching headband with big flowers. Done, done, done, and done!
