11 Months, Still a Little Baby Boy

One more month and our little baby boy will be a year old. This milestone is hitting me hard and it's not even here just yet. I've been reflecting and remembering and reminiscing a lot these past few days, trying to take in every moment with my baby while he's still a baby, before he's one and I have to just be excited that he's one. Expect a very gushy posting a month from now...

As our 11 month old baby boy, Milo has discovered he loves balls. He does not tire of throwing or rolling a ball back and forth. It gets him so excited he can hardly handle it. We have been really enjoying this and are so amazed at how different our children are--this was never something Dahlia particularly enjoyed. But something Dahlia did enjoy with equal passion was/is reading and Milo is still not that keen on the whole reading thing. His favorite thing to do when I read to him is shut the book. I'm about 95% certain that Milo says "Dada" and "Dahlia" as two distinct words. "Dahlia" sounds like "Dahdia." While "dada" is used all the time, not only for Matt, "Dahdia" is only used for Dahlia. This warms my heart up so much. Milo is getting more and more opinionated these days and even though he still packs in amazing amounts of food, he will get very angry at certain foods and the force with which he slaps our hands away and throws food on the floor is really hard not to giggle at.

Milo, I love how happy you get when I get home from work. Please always be that happy to see me.
