Milo has had a big month this past month! I never knew a baby could love to eat (solid food) so much. We have yet to feed him enough that he actually seems done. I'm afraid he's going to explode so I have to cut him off eventually. But then he whines and screeches. I've heard to keep feeding him til he's full but it seems he will never be full! So far he eats rice cereal, oatmeal, sweet potatoes, banana and apple. He'd eat pizza if we let him. He's also almost turning into a good little sleeper. Lately, bedtime is around 6:30, he wakes around 1am and then sleeps til around 6 or 7. It required some extra sleep training to get to this but it wasn't too awful. I think he was really ready to just sleep and not eat all night. I'd been going to feed him when he barely needed it because I was afraid he would wake up Dahlia. But we decided to see what happened if I didn't go to him right away and he only cried a little and Dahlia didn't even wake up! Sure beats 4 wakings a night, which is where we were a few weeks ago. Naps are getting better and longer, too. He's very mobile with his rolling and pivoting and if you look away for a second he will appear in a new place than you left him. Six month old Mr. Milo is a whopping 18 pounds, 12 ounces! This is my last week of maternity leave. I feel very lucky to have had 6 months of being a stay-at- home mommy. It hurts my stomach to think of going back to work but I know I'll get used to it. Really, it's only part-time so it could be harder. It has been wonderful getting into a rhythm with my babies and knowing their every move and need and seeing them grow and learn by the minute. No doubt it's been challenging, too. But worth it. Tita and Daddy will be taking over some of that starting next week, which will be great in other ways. It'll be an adjustment for everyone but I know it will work out. And before I know it, it will be summer vacation. Teacher schedules are awesome that way.
Happy Six Month Birthday Milobaby!
