Disneyland 2012

Our first family trip to Disneyland! We went to visit Tia and Tio for the long weekend and on Sunday, we rented a minivan and drove to Disneyland for the day. It was really fun. We weren't sure how it was going to go over (too overwhelming? too scary?) but it went over great. Parts were overwhelming (waiting in line) and scary (Mr. Toad's Wild Ride) but mostly it was just plain fun. Dahlia drove a car, went on boats, flew Dumbo, and met a bunch of princesses (Princess-mania is sure to begin in our household very soon), and Mickey and Minnie. She also LOVED the parade-we all did. She danced, screamed and waved to everyone going by. Those Disney people really don't miss a detail! My favorite line of the day was, "I don't want to go home. I NEED to go on more rides, I think." Milo got to go on some rides, too. But he also was not a fan of Mr. Toad's Ride. Tia and Tio were amazing help and really stepped it up with their duties. There is no way we could have had fun without them there. If all children had 4 parents all the time, life would be so different! We look forward to another trip to Disneyland in the future. If Tia and Tio stay in L.A., I'm sure we'll be back many more times.
