Dahlia and Molly--there is a resemblance, can you see it?

Reading D's new book together

An afternoon of sprinkler time!

"I'm going to Kentucky, I'm going to the fair..." they played this dance and song for no less than 2 hours over the course of 2 days.

Cousins! Katie, Molly, Dahlia and Lily. Notice how happy D is.

We went to Boston a couple of weeks ago to visit Grandma and Grandpa. Auntie Samantha and her boyfriend, Reiss and her sheepdog, Moxie drove up from DC too. Boston was sporting some record breaking high temperatures (100+ degrees) so we spent a lot of our time relaxing and eating well in the comfort of air conditioning. As a Californian, I'm really not used to weather like that! Thunderstorms that are not cold, hot nights, air so thick you can barely pick up your feet, it's a trip! We did take some family outings to swim in Walden Pond, go to the aquarium, and run in the sprinkler. Matt and I were fortunate to have some dates and double dates too.

But probably the best part about our trip is that for two days, we had a Lasky family reunion! Matt's cousin Howie came up from Maryland with his wife, Jamie and daughter, Molly (4). Cousin Ellen came in from New York with her husband, Chris and daughters, Lily and Katie (7 and 5), as well as Aunt Muriel and Uncle Harvey. So Phyllis was feeding 16 people! Dahlia had the time of her life with her new cousins. She is really into older kids right now and they were all wonderful with her. They spent most of their time on the 3rd floor bouncing off the walls and furniture, dancing and singing while us grown ups took shifts supervising. It's truly a bummer we don't get to see them more often!
