Holidays 2010

We have had a great holiday week of family and friends. Auntie was here for Christmas with us for the first time as well as the usual suspects, the Vargamottos and even ChiChin and Papi were here all the way from Peru. We are now all exhausted from having too much fun. A slide show of our week is below.

Dahlia has welcomed in 2011 with two exciting milestones. First, last night, New Years Eve, she went to sleep in a big girl bed for the first time. It belongs to Kate, our 12 year old neighbor who Dahlia loves. We had no idea she was even close to being ready to sleeping in a big bed without bars but she happily fell right asleep, thus allowing Mommy and Daddy to party into the new year. Then today, to top off the excitement, she did a "big caca" (i.e. big poop) in the potty! Well...not exactly. But that sounds better than saying where she really did it. We were at her Abuelitos house and they don't have a little potty for her. So when she came and told me she had a "big caca" coming we rushed to the toilet but the toilet was scary and big and she didn't like it. So she pointed to the sink.....and she went in the sink! Gross? Yes. Proud mommy and daddy? Extremely.
