Dahlia is ONE

Dahlia you are one year old!!!! Just one fast year ago we arrived at the hospital at 5am as a husband and wife and then...whoosh! Scrubs, hospital gowns, nerves, nurses, operating table, lots of love and 3 hours later, at 8:11am, I heard you. And a few minutes later, I saw you. How has it already been a year since that day when I can remember it so vividly? Man, oh man.

Who are you? Here's some tidbits.

What do you love to do?
Walk everywhere, read, dance to music, take things out of drawers, take things out of bags, taking a bath, play basketball with your ducks in the bath, drop food on the floor, hold remotes, hold cell phones, listen to Pete the Cat, stand in the window and watch outside, swing, go on the big slide all by yourself, go on walks, play piano, ride in your big car seat, hang out with your 4 grandparents, your tios and auntie.

What do you not like?
Your shark in the bath and lots of delicious foods

What are your favorite foods?
Pears, apples, blueberries, spanakopita, yogurt, anything that we are eating in a restaurant, peas, hummus, crackers, tahini, pinto beans, peaches, cuties, puffs, and anything that comes in a jar as a puree.

What is your favorite toy?
BUNNYBEAR! It's a bunny, it's a bear.

What is one of my favorite things you do right now?
March yourself naked from your changing table to the bath and then stand at the bath like the happiest person in the world watching it fill up, bouncing with delight and trying to climb in on your own.

What is one of Daddy's favorite things you do right now?
Picking books to read and bringing them to us. And then picking another, and another and demanding they be read over and over.

How are you sleeping?
Slept through the entire night once the other night (7pm to 6:30am)! Now that Bunnybear has entered your life, sleeping is getting waaaay better. You smother Bunnybear and all is good for entering dreamland.
