7 Months Old

Dahlia's just truckin' along.

• She now spends 4 days a week with Abuelita while we go to work. I (Mommy) have Tuesdays off which makes it much, much easier. But Dahlia loves her day with Abuelita.
• Goes swimming with Abuelita. She kicks her little legs around and her latest fun involves scooping water into her hand and trying to drink it.
• Getting comfortable with crawling, although she still hesitates to really go for it unless Boy or Moongbebe are around. Then it gets really exciting.
  
• Working on pulling herself up. She's succeeded a few times but is in no way steady once she's up. Ouch!
  
• Not sleeping through the night. But oddly enough, being that I'm back at work, I can honestly say I barely mind the wake up, as long as it's only once. She goes right back to sleep after a tasty snack.
  
• Communicating with us more: arms in the air when she wants to be held, mouth pursed tightly shut and/or spitting when she doesn't want to eat, squealing when she likes something.
• Likes: pears, banana, sweet potato, apple, Sophie the giraffe, hanging upside down, bath time, water, cats, dogs, butterflies, books with parts she can feel, her high chair, making the "h" sound, touching everything and anything including her friend's eyeballs, chomping on our fingers with her razor sharp 2 little teeth.
  
• Dislikes: falling on her face, avocado, rice cereal, and green beans make her vomit.
• Her motto about eating solid foods: If I haven't pooped today, don't even try.
  
• She's an amazing little being. We are truly so lucky.
