Last time we camped it was years ago, just Matt and me in a tiny 2 person tent. Now we camp with a giant tent packed with our family of four. We went to Schoolhouse Canyon on the Russian River with our friends the Bunches. The 4 kids had a great time playing with leaves, rocks, flowers, water, sticks, logs, and visiting the fairies living in the tree stumps. Apparently even the tooth fairy was there! They also loved sleeping in the tent, sitting around the fire for meals, playing in the river, and having their first s'mores. Although D liked the act of making s'mores more than actually eating them and Milo was quite a fan. The grownups enjoyed having some actual time to hang out, being unplugged, sitting around the fire, and watching our kids be completely entertained by nature. We're looking forward to many years of camping in our future.
