Milo is 9 Months!

 

At nine months now, Milo is crawling all over the place and pulling himself up to standing. He's a cute little crawler--kind of crab-style sometimes. So we are now in a constant state of keeping an eye on him. Dahlia, too. She's really helpful at managing him and trying to keep him occupied with toys when he gets interested in unsafe things (wires, shoes, sliding glass doors) and usually it works. But he can be a persistent little guy and it's fun learning that about him now that he's able to express himself through movement. He's also taken his volume to a new level. He screams very loudly with delight when happy and excited or playing, and when he's sad or mad, you'd think a scary tiger was chewing on his arm. He is a loud Lasky. Now that he has two teeth coming in, I hope he doesn't wake up the neighbors. He continues to eat really well and still likes almost all foods he tries. Mealtime is a very happy time for him. He loves sitting in his highchair and watching us as he just eats and eats and eats, participating in conversation in his own little way. He goes to bed too early to have family dinners with us but on weekends when we do breakfasts and lunches all together I still am mesmerized that this is my family and that I get to have meals with these wonderful people for many years to come. I feel extremely lucky (that's an understatement). Milo weighs 20 pounds,14 ounces and is (tbd) inches long. He's a snuggly, cuddly, affectionate little bear. I love him so much I can't stand it.
