Tio Tia's House

We had a really fun long weekend visiting the Juniors in the City of Angels. Besides the cool places we got to visit, we mostly enjoyed getting some extended time with K & K, Mister and Tigs.

At the Children's Garden at the Huntington Library luckily we had a change of clothes. Water features galore.

I really like this little blue door. So does Dahlia.

"Watch out! Don't get owies!" referring to the cacti all around in the Desert Garden.

Getting her to hug her tios is really easy.

Attempting a cheesy family photo. Apparently Dahlia doesn't do cheesy because she wouldn't cooperate. 19 weeks along preggers Mommy.

Happy in the desert.

Post nap pedicure and half a manicure. She didn't have the patience for her right hand to get finished.

We thought it would be too cold to go in the water so we didn't come prepared. Dahlia didn't care in the least. She has been dying to go to the beach and nothing was going to stop her.

"Cheese!"

This was the routine: Run into the water and splash around with Tia and then run back to Tio and me. She'd then say, "I'm going in back in the ocean where Tia is." She'd kiss me, kiss Daddy, then kiss Tio then take off into the water. She did this exact routine no less than 20 times in a row.

Do you think she cares that she's shivering? She doesn't. Couldn't be happier.

This time we came prepared, and it was warmer. She had her "babing soup" (bathing suit) but the big waves were scary for her (and didn't provide good surfing for Daddy) so she was more hesitant to play in the water. So I taught her how to run away from waves. It was a hit.

Hi Tio!
