For Spring Break we took a family vacation to visit Aunt Samantha in Washington, DC. We had a wonderful time! We had beautiful weather and we were lucky enough to be there during peak cherry blossom blooming--a huge event in DC. We also took Dahlia to the National Zoo where she got to see animals she's been reading about for months. We packed our days full of wandering the neighborhoods, taking the metro, seeing old friends (Eliza, John and his new esposa, Pilar), seeing cousins, and hanging out with Moxie (Samantha's sheepdog). Dahlia loved it! We all love our house in the 'burbs but it sure was fun for the 3 of us to live in a big city for a few days. And Dahlia adored all the quality time with her Auntie! Here's a few highlights. I'll post a slideshow later.
